Coal fired power stations

Subcoal® has been used on several coal fired power stations in Europe. The fact that the pellets can be milled together with coal gives power stations the possibility to use Subcoal® together with coal, without the requirement to invest in additional feeding equipment.

The experiences over the last years have been gathered and the power industry has a good possibility to substitute part of their coal with Subcoal®, allowing them to reduce emissions with the added benefit of cheaper fuels costs. Existing equipment used to mill wood pellets has also been successfully used to feed Subcoal® pellets into a boiler.

Effects on fly ash, bottom ash and various other parts of the process are different for each individual case, but we are happy to discuss our experiences in this field.
